hey mdwannabe,
i'm interested in er, too. i hadn't heard of the er/im progs. sounds really interesting, though. 4 years? so the 230 is required for that? i'm just trying to gauge what the bottom of my range can be in order for me to get an er residency.

Well, 230 is what I have seen metioned on the web. For combi program...I dunno, it is 5 years, there are only 12 programs in US. So I just dunno..but I am stuck with 220...so shall try to get the most out of rotaions and Step 2.

What are the chances if you have an EAD/work permit ?You don't need visa then.Lets see..

Now EM people asking for US hands on experience in EM dept.

Its all to avoid IMG's  ,no one will allow us to work in EM here in US.
