How r u all studying?havent recieved replies from anyone,well,i have at last finished my 1st reading,planning to start revising from tomm,what ab't everyone else?getting kind of nervous how to remember all the facts in all the subjects.lets start discussing.

I am taking Step 1 in early July... I am very behind in my studying (struggling to finish my first reading) but cannot push my date any further.

Hi everyone in July!
My test is in July 19 and i took NBME-1 yesterday and score is 370! has anyone took NBME yet? What is your score? How are you doing in Qbank? Plaese tell me what do you think i need to do? I am soo scared about this score and everything. My Q bank average is 62% now. What should we do in this month? Thanks!

hi ELM,how r u doing?first of all,quit being nervous,think that in NBME ur allowed to make mistakes,only in the real exam,we have to do well,u can go through the wrong answers and try to concentrate more on those topics,im doing my 2nd reading of the subjects,have started with anatomy,planning to take Q bank and NBME after i finish revision,all the best for everyone.

hey i am taking my exam last week of this month.
Anybody used Goljan path?
I got the audio lectures cd just now from one of friend.Its tempting me to go through it.I have done path only from kaplan.Is it ok if i dont go through goljan audio.Though i am really feeling like i shd listen it.
Any advice from u Tasneembanu?

Hi
I have that CD from DR Goljain, that is very helpful. it's not just for Patho it's for everything. He makes everything so simple and correlates things together. So i would sugest if you have it listen it! You can listen it while you driving or walking you don't have to spare time for that, just listen it whenever you could! Good luck! My test is in July 19th, and ia m getting very nervous. What are you doing these days?

I am revising and side by side doing q bank.As advised by usmleasr,i am doing 100-150 questions everyday.Nowadays i dont worry about the scores.I read the exaplainatons carefully.I am using the qbank for learning rather than judging myself.I hope everything will be alright with me.

Hi ia m pretty much the same what you are doing now. I took NBME-1 yesterday and scored right in the border line so i have to doo alot to comfortably pass. That 150qs everyday plan sounds good. Are you doing sub by sub or just randomly selected Qs? When is your test?

docarjun,Goljan audio is good,there's explanation to lot of concepts,its bit long,so adjust ur time schedule,u should not let Goljan interfere with ur revision,all the best.

Thanks guys!
i went through the audio cd.Its really good.Wish i could have it before.I am listening the cd whenever i get time.I hae decided to finish it up.Lets see.All basic concepts are cleared very nicely.He has touched every subject.
Give me good luck as i am running short of time!
ELM it will be nice to be in touch with you.
I have taken date in first week of july but i am just warning my mind that its last week of june so that i will be fully prepared and relaxed in last week of exam.
We can write to each other about the what we read every day and how many questions we did...it will keep us on the track.
Hope u will also like this idea.Tasneembanu u also can join me.We will share the ongoing studies and encourage each other so that we will do more.As an img we shd get pretty good score.

about listening to Goljan. i did it, and i think it is deffinetly worth it. it opens your eyes on lots of things, makes very good connections, which i did not see before. But you might know these connections already, and than maybe listening to the goljan will make you waste your own revising time. anyway , a good middle way would be to just the system tapes from goljan ( cardiovascular, renal etc..) which are more practical and more easy to integrate on your schedule, without listening the first lectures..and than,you can decide if you'll listen the first lectures too, or not.

Thank you Krampus!
Your suggestion is a real help.This will help my time in my last few days.As revising everything is more important than going through new material.I will be doing that hence forward.
I am revising anat+histo+embryo today.Doing first aid as well as kaplan and the target is to revise everything,listening Goljan and doing 150 questions from qbank.
What do you say ELM?

What happened to people taking exam in july.
Nobody making any post regarding the ongoing preperation?
It just gives u idea where u stand...anyway i am close to my exam,so was just wondering how others are doing.

I just wanna ask wheather u people giving exam in july are aiming for 2005 match?
I dont know where i stand?I am giving exam in first week of july..wheather i will be qualified for 2005 match.More than that wheather i will get a date for CSA this year?Or i am too late for it?
everythings worries me a lot.
Can anybody give ur thought on this issue?
I will be glad to hear something about all this....thanks!

I am aiming for the 2005 match too, but i think it will be very tight. i still not have a vision about the entire process, especially what it takes for an IMG, but i am collecting information on this. I heard you have to finish with your exam an to have the ECFMG certificate by march 2005, but that means you already missed the inteview..so wihtout the interview than, how can you get on lists...?so i am confused, and if anybody knows more on this , it would be welcomed to share it. maybe we should open a new topic on this
