Hello Friends,
Well... May 17th was the day, when i finally took it... it was not a very horrifying experience as many quote but was not a very pleasant one too..Can't tell the questions though( as per rule) but can tell that the most of the questions were concerning medicine and Paeds. less of Gynae n Psychiatry... the questions were more regarding the pathogenesis and management of the diseaes rather then asking about the name of the diagnosis.. all questions were not really simple.. you really have to pick the clues they are giving you in the question and link them...I dont know how am i going to score though... one really cant predict about the pass/fail status.. it is so uncertain..I took nearly 4 months to study,... studied kaplan course, Crush the boards, Q book n Q bank, Harrisans mcqs and Kaplan CD...My score on Kaplan CD was 74( not too good, i guess).. lets see what happens....
good luck to all those taking the exam.

Hello Lucky..
Thanx. I studued kaplan course but also Saw CMDT for some topics in medicine like Vasculitis, Porphyrias, Endocrine, Nephrology and some topics of GIT. For Gynae i saw Blue Prints. rest all the stuff i did from kaplan including Paeds. Believe me kaplan is sufficient provided u read word to word and do a lot of mcqs.
Good luck for your exam.

Hello Naisarg,
i can not give you any idea about first aid for Step2 as i haven't read it. I saw Crush the boards and Boards and wards (B&W) for Step2. I found B&W very good but again thats my opinion. You should ask ppl who have cleared the exam with good marks. As for beginning the preparation, i began with medicine from Kaplan and saw some topics from CMDT side by side. then i did Qbook mcqs immediately to get an idea what type of questions come in exam so that i can direct my second reading of medicine in the right way. then i did the remaining subjects one by one along with mcqs.

Lucky, i did all of Gynae from Blue Prints. There is no specific reason why i didn't do Kaplan Gynae. I just found Blue prints good. Paeds i sufficient in Kaplan. you may see Blue prints for Paeds if you like.
