Hypoglycemia, sleep, exercise, and stress increase growth hormone secretion, whereas elevated free fatty acids would decrase growth hormone secretion.

sleep, stress, hypoglycemia, starvation, exercise and hormones related to puberty increase and hyperglycemia pregnancy obesity somatostatina and somatomedins decrease it. sakaki can u quote the reference for free fatty acids as stimulus for decreasing GH secretion?

It can be found in Francis Greenspan and Gardner's Basic and Clinical Endocrinology (published by Lange), or Patricia Molina's Endocrine Physiology (also published by Lange). It's just in a table format, so there isn't any rationale given.

It makes sense...free FA reduce the need for blood glucose (which GH stimulates). From a purely metabolic standpoint, that is.
