What is the nucleus pulposus and its embryologic derivative? How is it important clinically?

nucleus pulposus is a derivative of notochord.
is a part of iv disc
herniation of nu pulposus in PL direction may compress spinal nerve

Has to do with subtypes of the alpha 1 or alpha 2 chains.
(Step 1 probably wont be that detailed ,although they could ask detail on types of collagen and formation of collagen and collagen diseases)
