what are the main differences between
palatine tonsils and pharyngeal tonsils (adenoids)????
I was asking the same Q today
Palatine tonsils are in the oropharynx while adenoids are in the nasopharynx
Adenoid Vs Palenttine tonsils
Adenoids; or pharyngeal tonsils are located at the roof of pharynx, are ciliated pseudostraitified columnar, & have no crypts.
Palenttine tonsils; are located at the sides of oropharanx between palantoglossal
and palantopharygeal arches, it is non-keratinized straitified squamous, & have crypts.
