enucleation alone leads to recurrence of parotid tumor so formal superficial parotidectomy shud be done whats that whats the difference between formal superficial parotidectomy and enucleation can some body plz explain?

enucleation = removal of the tumor only superficial perotidectomy = remove everything superficial to facial nerve
