Asprin ingestion has the following hemostatic effect in a normal person:
a) prolongs the bleeding time
b)prolongs the clotting time
c) antibodies against platelets
d) platelets adhesion and aggregation on locally injured vascular subendothelium

anyone pls help.

What's the mechanism by which this occurs?

aspirin irreversibly acetylates COX in d platelets thus inactivating it.
(platelets do not ve nuclei so they cant synthesize COX on their own)
TXA2 is not synthesized so platelet aggregation canot occur & BT is prolonged.

ASA inhibits TXA2 (inhibits cyclooxygenase)

inhibits platlet function :arrow: increases BLEEDING TIME!
