Can somebody help me with this dilema. Is there a difference between future use of BE GOING TO and PRESENT CONTINUOUS ? Here is an example : I am going to take my exam in June. I am taking my exam in June. Are these two sentences completely the same or there is a difference. Don't laugh to me here.English is not my native language so I have to learn.

I see BE GOING TO expressing an intention. "I am taking my exam in June" means that you not only intend to sit for the exam in june but may you already applied and reviewed all the materials. Hope I'm right!
