where the macula densa is located?? A)PCT B) loop of henle C) DCT D) collecting tubule whats its function??

Macula densa is located between afferent arteriole and efferent arteriole. It is close to PCT, so it should be the answer.

Sorry mani I should say DCT, and it funtion may be part of a negative feedback system for sodium.

thats rite ruben. Juxtra -glomerular apparatus consist of three parts 1: Renin producing cells (modified muscle cells )in the walls afferent and efferent arterioles, primarily afferent. 2: Densa macula cells in the walls of DCT. These are not kissing cells rather modified DCT cells. These and taller and more closely packed than the usual epithelial cells and have concentration sensor property. 3 Lacis cells which between these two type cells

lacis cells aka polkissens cells r present b/w afferent n efferent arterioles near macula densa. their function is unknown but r thought to provide electrical coupling among themselves and to the mesangium and glomerular arterioles .....
