Kaplan Qbank USMLE

I am new to the USMLE preparations! Would you suggest that I study the books and Q-bank first or do an e.g. Kaplan course first? With that said, is it an over kill to get the webprep of Kaplan as well as the Dr. Goljan audio lectures, as I hear he is an excellent teacher?
Thanks, Marelise

Well its no harm in doing everything. It all depends on you, like when do you intend in giving the exam.If you going to going to give the exam soon then it may be an uphill task to do allin the short period of time. Also are you willing to go through all these materials? It also depends if you're willing to spend more money for the lectures/web prep etc..
I hope this helps. All the best in choosing the path that suits you.

Thank you "Malaysian",

I am giving myself 5 months for this exam. I was hoping to hear from someone who has done this exam or has prepared for it. I would like to know whether the one audiotape really has SO much more than the next. I don't want to waste time and money. BUT it could be a better way remembering the different things hearing it in a different way. What do you think?

Regards, Marelise

Yes you have a good point....sometimes instead of just reading(which is an active process)its also good to learn through a passive process(like listening an audio tape)so you get a good perspective of things. My audio tapes etc are all in the mail therefore I'm not in the position to say how their quality is.
