my 1 yr multiple entry visa gets expired in june 2009. my observership and resarch exp begins in jan 2009, iam planning to take step 3 in apr/may 2009... so when i reapply in sep for the interview season 2010 i doubt if i will have calls that early. what do u suggest...i take a date of step 3 in july/aug and reapply from US itself?? or come back to India and reapply for interviews purpose???

I'm sorry I do not have the answer to your question. But why would you wanna apply for a visa before you have IV calls?

the wait period to get a date for visa interview is atleast a month or may be even 2 sometimes...depends on the season. we cant wait till oct to get IV calls to apply for a vvisa...cos in the visa form we need to fill in the purpose of our visit. so have to apply in july so that can get an visa interview date in aug end/sep to be able to book for the IV calls. Obviously i will get some IV calls but not sure if i will have them in sep to show them as a proof to the visa officer.
