Hello. I disagree......... I think that it is one of the best books for USMLE........of course it is not complet enough, but I think it is excellent for pharma,micro,embrio,...........good for patho,phisi,.....and not enough for anato, and bioq and genetic. It is important realize that it is a HY book and not a book test. anyway there different point of view according our expectations.

I think that issue is individual. Each person is different...with different academic background, different goals, and ....yes!.....different exam. The argument can be supported on either side. In the end each person has to decide whether to do more work or not. But, nobody who ever did more work ever said....after the exam....I wish I had done less work. I think it is better to do more than needed....than not enough. Perses....look at your schedule and see if you have the time to do more...if not, I think FA is your best option when the time is near. Above all...........do lots of questions. Lastly,....to quote Goljan, "the more you read the better the score.."

I think FA it is a very good book, but as I always said ,this book is for the last month of your preparation , because if you have time (you have almost 5 month of preparation) you have to read other books, but if you have no time( 1 month0 try to master FA. it could or couldn't help. Remmember is better to master one book that read a lot of books.

I agree Rubenssss. It is a "LAST AID", because any word make sense and you need a good background. I am reading it and I found it very helpful.

FA is good as a guide from beginning all the way through to the days before the exam. I make that statement based on all my colleagues who have succeeded with that philosophy. However, I agree with "Colombia" that it really depends on your comfort level. At least the book gives you a general (sometimes specific as in Pharm, Micro) outline of what has been important on the exam in the recent past. The 2004 edition is really good so far with corrections and updates.
