hi everyone.
iam a newbie here.
and i found this forum very friendly and warm.
i have a problem
i know this site discusses issues about only usmle and preparation.
iam done with step 1 and preparing for step 2.
iam very disturbed mentally, i fell in love with a guy few months back and we kept in touch via emails/ web chats as we lived far away from each other.
just few days back i told him what i felt for him and he just simply refused and said he always felt me to be a very good frnd and that my husband will be very lucky to have someone like me.
iam really troubled, he told me he will continue being a frnd.
i miss him and iam unable to concentrate on my ck preps.
i know this sounds very childish and like a teenager..but my tears arent stopping and i miss him.
please help me out thr this situation.
what should i do?
should i ever keep in touch with him?
what should i do if i miss him?

but u know its sounds easy it isnt, atleast right now...
iam not infactuated, i really like him...
and no offence to anyone...but US citizen guys are well know for dating left n right ...hope u know what i mean..and iam seriously not like that.....
and parents..yes i love them...they like my frnd too, they have no problem on that..

i like Rx 135 last comment you r funny man.
galeen try to avoid that person ASAP, coz everytime u see him u will endup hurting yrself +by yr absence he might realise that he also likes u which he doesnt know it yet.
give this thing some time things will either move in yr directions or away from you(its not already working anyways) so u r not losing anything but might gain some thing.
Gosh i sound like a love guru of an indian movie.

hey galeen..... i know exactly what you're going through...... i fell in love with a guy while i was in med school, and .... don't want to get into details here, but lets just say it didn't work out..... and yes its hard.... people used to tell me, just forget about him, you can do better, etc, but its easier said than done..... a lot of time has gone by and i still think of him.... so, the best advice i can give you is, believe that everything happens for a reason and you were just not meant to be with this guy.... keeping in touch with him will just be more hurtful to you, b/c you know how you feel about him.... perhaps someday he will realize that he loves you, too, but until that time, don't put your life on hold..... he may not realize it until its too late, (perhaps after you've found that wonderful, person you are meant to be with and that's just his loss) so just focus on your studies, pretty soon, you'll be too busy to think about this.... so i'm sorry to ramble on like this, but hope this helps..... yes, it hurts but in time, it WILL feel better
