Is HIV positivity is a reportable disease???

HIV seropositivity i guess is not a reportable disease but AIDS is the reportable disease...

Yes, ..u r right...but in 2004 edition First aid I saw..even HIV seropositivity being considered as a reportable disease in some states...

NO!!!!! HIV+ is NOT reportable! ONLY confirmed AIDS cases.

Idiopathic..

please look at page No 119, of 2004 edition of FA...under reportable disease..

Hence I was confused...

Just a note, FA says HIV being reported varies by state!

Only laboratories report HIV infection, though. No physician should report HIV positivity.
