Many programs stopped downloading the applications, came to know this from my friends who started residency this year.

don't listen to anyone, apply, the deadlines aren't until nov 1 or dec 1, or dec 15th or wateer else their respective deadlines are!! they're probably (if that's even true) not downloading anymore for the american students deans letter is coming out nov 1, so then activity picks up again, calm down and stop scaring people folks, gosh.. it's soooo beyond irritating continuing to think that if you dont apply sept 1, that ur life is over and have no chance for residency, it's such bullsh*t.. does it make it harder, everythig n life is hard, so suck it up and apply if you qualify for those programs and you can afford to, else sit at home and ask everyone else how to run your life and be happy with that! good luck and god bless!!

I agree with hottie99. Although, there are a few programs that have their application deadline as 1/10.. Some do not mention such a deadline but may have filled up all their IV slots.. But such progs are few, Most will still d'load your application if you apply.

how goes the application process for urself? im in the process still, and get irate when people tell others to not apply bc as if it's over, and it is so not over.. hmm, regardless. back to step 3 stuff my friend!

I applied on the !7th of Sep.. I'll hopefully get my CK score this wednesday. Dont feel like studying for step 3 at the moment.. Will do once I am certified. Wish you all the best for Step 3, the application and the Match ofcourse.. take care!

I absolutely agree with hottie99 and hitesh...apply wisely and listen ONLY to your heart...which is always PERFECT for you...compare your credentials with other people with interviews...look for candidates that matched with the same credentials last year...try to get some USCE and good LORs....low USMLE score is not the end of everything...if you found a program that still is downloading application..call them and ask about the deadline for application....and if you feel like applying...just GO FOR IT(of course if expense is not an issue for you)....wish you good luck!!!

I applied friday evening to 50 programs and most of them have already downloaded my application.

lilac you have already applied to 94 schools! I would think thats enough if u put in your faves and safe schools and researched wisely. If you're planning to apply to more because you dont think you've gotten enough ideas...its too early anyway to be rolling in interviews. Save your money for interviews....lots of plane fare and hotel accomodations to pay for.

apply...last year i applied in november and early december and got interviews, i would have probably matched if it my verification was in on time, ended up withdrawing from the match, so all this stuff is false...check the programs dates and go ahead and apply...

Hey Hitesh,
Why did your signature become 2/5? Did you divide Step 2 into CS and CK?
When I saw 5, I almost thought there was a Step 4!!!

The 2/5 is just IVs/Rejections
