Hi everyone,
I have a question about how competitive it is to match into peds versus a similar ranked IM program. Looking at last year's match data, it seems like Peds is filled up by 70% US students versus IM which only fills 49% with US students.....so my question is, is peds more competitive?
i would appreciate any thoughts on this

Actually the way you should look at the data is that out of all the IMGs that apply to peds only 38% don't match. Thats very different than IM where around 50% dont match.
But when you look at match you should take into consideration that the numbers may be low because people took a prematch.

peds is one of the easiest specialties to get in, lot of IMGs apply in it just because of this reason, if u have decent creds, u can match for sure
