Hi,
I got my H1 visa last week and expect to have my SSN in a day or 2.
I want to know if I should update the ERAS profile with my SSN. I have changed the visa status, would mentioning SSN strengthen it? Is everyone with a SSN mentioning it in the application?

I did it but I don't think it's necessary. The down side is the potential ID theft if the ERAS Website is hacked. This happened to UCSD graduate school application system before.
