Can anybody tell how acetazolamide and progesterone are going to effect on central sleep apnea

i think it is contibute with acid- base disorders acetazolamide___ decrease hco3c____

progesterone increses the central drive for respiration --> increase RR .

Acetazolamide ---------> metabolic acidosis ---------> stimulation of peripheral chemoreceptors ----> stimulation of respiratory center Progestrone ----------- > direct Stimulation of respiratory center ----------- > increase in Tidal volume (not in the rate of respiration) --------- > Respiratory alkalosis in pregnancy Note; MPA is used in Central sleep Apnea because of this action of progestrone
