The correct answer is D. The man has signs and symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome, entrapment of the median nerve characterized by pain and paresthesias in the medial portion of the palm. Carpal tunnel is often a clinical diagnosis, although several objective examination findings and studies can be of use, including nerve conduction studies by electromyography.

But as I mentioned it is NCV and not EMG!

Actuallly I always see the test written as EMG/NCV
