sackatdoc: please set another date. It's way too soon to give up and you need all the emotional balance you can have to endure the next months and even more, the interviews. Reset. Postpone the bad feelings. Hopefully, they won't even come at all!

drnaik: make a list of all your victories: the small one, the great ones, what your mom would count as victories (even if you wouldn't). Remember when you planned to be a doctor, how arduous it was to get there, how you felt when you graduated and imagine it will all happen again when you receive your step 3 result (or match result!). Set your mind to victory, my friend, not to defeat. Worthless, you? Ask the mother/father of your nephew how much difference you've made in their lives, sacrificing your studying time for their benefit. Maybe it will help you to remember how good you are, go back to reality.

milee99: great idea, I wish I was that patient... nod Unfortunately, I'll freak out before that. disapproval Or not! smiling face

Meanwhile... I'm planning on how to trick or treat the PDs on 10/31... raised eyebrowgrin

Every time I get a rejection my mood goes down in dumps, Got 2 IV's and my mood is euphoric with racing thoughts about the interview..grin..nyway i guess freak out date depends where u applied to, If the programs are already sending Iv's and you have'nt heard anything,Its time to freak out now.rolling eyes

nodTHANKS Arlete Again, yes you're right its too early and i should set a sensible date but atleast one reply ,well may be negative even, makes you feel you are running and not just invisible, especially when left ,right and center you see people being invited and welcomed.YES I know i need to be little mature and all but atleast i need to see some hope somewhere, or am i asking too much!!!

dr_nalayak: but then I'll have no control over it... shaking headgrin I see what you mean. Emotional roller coaster. I'm glad I didn't apply to a lot. And I am calm because my programs are quiet so far. It makes sense. nod Congrats on the interviews!

No, sackatdoc, you are not asking too much. I hope these next months will pass by very fast for you and relief will come soon. But for me, you always sounded mature enough to endure this. Remember: this too shall pass... I'm praying for you, my friend.

Ohhhh... this is the first time, I have read this thread! I thought we were all planning to get together and have a blast! raised eyebrowraised eyebrow

I understood this "freak out" as the "freak out" of having fun!

Lol.. sackatdoc... nice observationsmiling face..yes, that'd be exactly one month after my application date... but well, thats actually not the reason though..sticking out tongue

Till now I have blamed my lack of CK score, for not getting any IV calls.. But i'd hopefully get it on the 8th of Oct.. And 17th will be the end of next week after that.. If I do not get a call till then, inspite of my CK score, I'd suspect something's really wrong with my application...raised eyebrow
