Alchohol amnestic disorder is caused by:

A. prolonged direct toxic effects of alcohol on brain
B. alcohol intoxication
C. thiamine deficiency
D. cessation of heavy drinking
E. excess of dopamine

Actually, dementia is caused by direct toxic effects of alcohol on the brain(after many years)...which I guess affects memory also, but I meant just memory impairment...

yeah amnestic alcohol syndrome is due to thiamine def which ofcourse is related to alcoholism.........
so, ans wud be thiamine def ........am i right?
