I was wondering if we should start emailing programs about our application status or is it too early. I know I'm being impatient. I applied on Sep 2nd. So far just rejections and some acknowledgments for me.

i emailed 130 progs about my new USLOR which i want to fax/email them, because they already have 4 LORs from my home country. i wanted to ask each one of them if they would accept a new one now, through fax/email and consider it a part of my application.

Most of the progs havent replied. some messages bounced back. some progs sent me auto messages-regarding application/program info. one of them read "we havent started sending ivs, please be patient" lol.

some of the progs were kind enough to reply. some would entertain a fax/email...some just asked me to bring the LOR if i got invited for an iv at their program.

There is a trick to it,

Have you sent your LOR to ERAS??

If they have uploaded your USLOR then you can assign this letter and de-assign any of the othe 4!!! letters under LOR assigments, I cannot exactly remember how I did that when i applied, but people who are registered on ERAS right now might be able to explain this to you.

yes katzung...ur rite...i am sending my LOR to ERAS too...but it will take 2-3 weeks to get uploaded...by then most progs would have already reviewed my application!

so i want to send them asap thru email / fax..
