What is the most common cause of death in Anykylosing spondylitis ??

I know it can give you problems in the cervical spine also.
hmmmmmmmm let me think
I have CHF for some reason I do not know why,
They can have some HAL B 27 problems and have some IBD and rheuma and other stuff but my head is telling CHFconfused

CHF due to aortic regurgitation or spinal fracture after long years of disease?

I'm not sure confused

Well, now that I thought about it, the fractures would be more probably of the lower spine and those aren't lethal... I go with CHF grin

Right sided heart failuer results in CHF which is the most common cause of death in these patients.

AS patients may develop

Cardiac Problems
  1. Aortitis --------> Aortic insufficiency
  2. Conduction defects

Renal :
  • Amyloidosis

Both of these are most common disease related cause of death.

3rd degree heart block common cause of death...
