Menlo Park, CA (AHN) - Google Inc. announced Wednesday a contest that will offer $10 million in prize for five new ideas that will help the world and benefit a lot of people.

The 10^100 or 10 to the 100th contest, which is being launched as part of the search giant's 10th anniversary, will accept entries from around the world and in any language until October 20. The proposed ideas should be submitted to the www.project10tothe100.com.

A panel of judges composed of Google employees and advisers will narrow down the number of entries to 100 by January 27 and an online public voting until Feb. 2 will choose the top 20 ideas. From the 20 entries, a panel of judges will choose the winning five ideas and announce these in the middle of February. If judges chose less than five winners, the prize will be divided accordingly and awarded in May.

Ideas will not be limited to those addressing problems on food and shelter or ways to build communities, improve health, expand access to education, sustain ecosystems and promote clean energy.

Those who submit winning Project 10^100 ideas will not be required to have the technical expertise to implement them, Bethany Poole, product marketing manager at Google, told CNN.
