hellow guys ! pls if any one know the cuases of post operative vomiting and post operative abdominal distention share some thanks !. and if there is any link that would be great !

If you want to know about vomiting immediately post surgically .It could be
  1. Because of drugs like opiods
  2. Because Gastric paresis or intestinla ileus
  3. Because of stress ulceration (gastritis)

Distension is because of
  1. Gastric distension i.e paresis
  2. Intestinal ileus
  3. hemoperitoneum (due to bleeding in case of abdominal surgery )
  4. urinary bladder distension ( lower abdomen)


Just an idea
