HI, my form 186 and documents were accepted last week for ECFMG and it will take 3 to 6 weeks to process and do the online verification or so...does anybody know when I can set a day to take my step 1?..my schedule time is October -December 2008.

It could take 3-4 weeks, should not be longer what I noticed from experiences , I guess it depends on how busy they are. If not October, for sure they will give you eligibility period starting with November.

u cant really schedule an appointment until u get ur scheduling permit 1st. Right now u said u recieved the email about accepted. The way it works is, 1st ur documents are recieved, then u get email about accepted, then verification, then scheduling permit so total of 2-3 weeks. Once u get the verification email u can go to prometric website and pick testing center near u and schedule one.
I am sure u will get the october eligibility if u got the email already. The only hard thing is finding the date and test in october because alot of prometric centers will be full. But all depends on where u live
