A folio like that would be a great addition to your interview suit. Good luck.

Faux leather, real - it doesn't matter. We aren't going to "feel" it - it's the look of the item (and the price at Kohl's is a good price)

I think either pants or skirt is fine, but you have to consider the weather. I participated in the recruitment for my graduate school for several years and have seen prospective students in skirts and heels who had to walk several blocks @ 30 degF weather (my school is in NYC). It was quite brutal.

Pants, skirt.... doesn´t matter. It should look neat and professional. Maybe with a little personal touch. My opinion is, that a suit should be in a subtle colour, but why not wear a dark red, dark pink or blue etc. blouse or shirt with it? BTW, the purses from macy´s and Kohl´s are cute

Pants or skirt - doesn't matter. Colour? Navy, Aubergine, Dark Red, Brown, Tan or black - although grey is a better colour choice than black. A room full of black suits reminds me of undertakers.... Shoes you can walk in because there will a tour of the hospital. Just remember that the fit of a suit is also important - an expensive suit is still going to look bad if it doesn't fit perfectly. A tailor can make a mid-price suit look expensive once the fit is adjusted.

What about a shell? Turtleneck or silk t-shirt. Anything that looks professional. It doesn't need to be a collared shirt. As for a collared shirt in or out of the suitcoat, it's going to depend on the shirt.

wow great discussion, so as bbb says shell is not bad idea... hmmmm in last year IV's I wore a off white shell under my ginger colored suit, but I noticed it was only me in shell as other wore shirts.
