young man with bilaterally thyroid lump + lymphadenopathy. His mother has thyroid cancer. What is the most likely abnormal in his lab studies ?

A. Calcitonin

B. PTH

D. TSH

E. T4

F.Cortisol

MEN II

Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma

80% =sporadic after 50 yr

20% = famiilial 20-40 yr

Look for other stigmata of MEN II

Yes but calcitonin is like more thyroid related in one way.
that was I choose in NBME3 and I have an * and no lines in high for endocrinologygrin
