hey guys. this is my first post here.

should i assume that my application had been rejected if i didnt receive an invitation when others already have?

also, does anyone know if programs send invitations for both categorical and prelim IM tracks at the same time? or do the categorical invitations come out first?

thanks...

don't assume anything. people were getting IVs from jersey shore hospital before I got mine. so just wait... grin

Not really. I've looked through last year's interview thread. Most programs actually don't send out interviews all at once. Esp if you apply later (let's say the second week of the month), your file might be looked at later than the ones that were submitted earlier. Just hang in there.

it also depends on the programs that you applied. most ivs in the forum are from non competitive hospitals.

it is also very early. may be your application is at the bottom of the pile (I mean it just happened the PD to have not seen your application yet

IT'S TOO FREAKING EARLY TO ASSUME THE WORST....

It's only been three freaking weeks since ERAS opened. My PD has spent a total of about 3 hours on ERAS - that's all.

STOP with the negative vibes - it's too early.

Just think of it as a reality check. Sometimes you have to raise your voice to get through. All is well (And I just read an email from my PD - add another 2 hours of ERAS - only 5 hours...).

We won't panic until after Thanksgiving or maybe even Christmas.grin
