hey ,
I graduated in fall 2003 and am currently working on my optional practical training (opt/ead). My employer filled for my H1B visa and i got it this week. The Visa will be active from the 1st oct 2004, so i will be on my OPT untill then.
Now i want to visit my Country (India) in july, which is obviously outside US. So what are the issues i will face. I spoke to my lawyer and he mentioned that my Status Conversion process from F1 to H1b will be stopped and i will have to leave this country one more time before the 1st of Oct 2004. Is that true?
Please throw some light on the issue.
