which uv rays cause more damage ? a or b? so far as i recall it is b? right? cos' not very sure

There is a question in USMLE Q-bank...So, I just looked at my notes...you are right. There are UVB (290-320 nm wavelength)- sunburn, immunosupression, ca, skin aging and UVA(320-400) contribute a little for sunburn, there are UVA1 and UVA2. The question was about sun screen. For UVB- PABA esters, for UVA- avobenzone, for both- use Zn-containing UVB---Bad UVA---Avobenzone

FYI, if I recall correctly: UVC is the worst of all -- but Ozone blocks it out
