bbb , should I send a thank you note to the PD for offering the interview ..or should I just send it to the PC while schedueling it ? I'm confused !
I just scheduled my first interview and said thank you in my mail to the PC . Should I write one for the PD ? The first email notifying me of the interview was from the PCs email but was signed with the PDs name .
Please help !

Don't send extra emails. I don't have the time to read them this time of the year. When you schedule your email, just a short line "Thank you for offering me the opportunity of an interview...." Done - easy.
Don't panic over this.

when you respond to interview invite e-mail asking to schedule a date you can thank the program and the PC for inviting you for the interview IN THE SAME MAIL, DONOT WIRTE ANOTHER MAIL THANKING THEM!!! PCS' DONOT HAVE time to read that many mails, after your interview please refer to bbb's response which clearly lays out the rules by which you all need to play.

It's not a thank you email. It's a scheduling an interview email, with the words thank you in it.

No. About a week before your inteview, send another email letting the PC know that you are still planning to come.

It's not mandatory to reconfirm that you are coming, but as a PC I sometimes wonder how many people will show up. I ask my candidates to reconfirm just before the interview.

Hi guys,
I prefer to call the PC after an invite for an interview. I think it´s more personal.
I was planning on writing them an email a week before, so they know, that I am still showing up.

If you call me when I invite you for an interview, I am going to ask you politely to reply to my email so that I have a paper trail and can work on it at a later time. ERAS is only part of a PCs time, and if I am doing something else, I can't stop and work on booking an interview.
Please, when booking your interviews, do it the way that the PC is going to request that you do.

in my case, they put a phone number in the email. So I called.
But I remember in another invite they asked me to email, so I did. I understand, that you guys are very busy.
So far, everybody was very polite.
