Mid-systplic click due to sudden tensing of MV apparatus as the leaflets billow into the left atrium during systole.

Multiple systolic clicks may be generated by different portions of the mitral leaflets prolapsing at different times during systole

Late systolic murmur, medium to high pitched and loudest at the apex

Diagrammatic representation of the influence of the three major hemodynamic factors on the mitral valve apparatus, the midsystolic click and the late systolic murmur. (C = click; M = murmur; S1 = first heart sound; S2 = second heart sound; Ao = aorta; LV = left ventricle)

the variation of the heart sounds in MVP was discussed priorly and started by you, buddy
