diuretic/B blocker is answer ,but y not diuretic /ace inhibitor?

  #4

Odd--- I like ace inhibitors also even Goodman & Gillman says they are wel tolerated, only thing Id say is that they may have more adverse reactions-in weighing advantages and disadvantages

such as:
renal failure in pts with renal artery stenosis.
decrease GFR in heart failure pts
the "COUGH" is some what common
skin rash

Beta blockers may appear to be more benign, also I read once that beta blockers may be of more benefit to caucasians and ACE inhibitors more benefit to african americans. Although I not sure of the quality and quantity of these studies. One thing in favor of beta blockers is because of a negative iionotropic and negative chronotropic affect -the heart is doing less work.
