no 1 DOC depends on pts preference, Gleason grade, PSA, free flow,PSA, clinical stage there are many treatment options-eg surgery, neutron beam radiation radiation, ,chemo etc. **as far as medicine wise early grades are treated with (as mentioned) Flutamide and GnRH analogue Flutamide is basically anti testosterone or antiandrogen GnRH analogs indirectly inhibit the testosterone based on a" Constant " GnRH release such as Lupron[leuprolide] For USMLE its good to know the MOA of these type meds. The actual Q would probably be to DX Prostate CA., Prostate Hypertrophy(which is a misnomer) or possibly Prostatitis. [No offense but I seriously doubt that they would ask DOC for Prostate CA] :shock:
