How many f+ing more days ??

I have passed my last exam on 20th of August.

The ECFMG website reads that I have met all the requirements and my ECFMG certificate will be sent within 2 weeks of 20th of August.

It's 9th of September!!!

I still have not received my f ECFMG certificate.

I called ECFMG for like 30 times and finally I got through to the ECFMG representative only to hear that he does not know when my certificate will be issued.

I am still waiting and waiting.

I can't register for step 3 because I don't have the f+ing certificate issue date.

The Resident Programs will not consider my application as complete before my f+ing certificate is available

Some of my fellow applicants already got an interview,
some got rejections but I am still waiting.

I feel like jumping into the ECFMG office and find my certificate and rip it off infront of them.

Why the f is it taking so long?

Are they making the paper out of tree by themselves or what? Is the certificate made out of gold and weighs about 100 lbs ?

For God's sake, I want my certificate NOW!!!!!!!

I have been through this. I understand your feeling and rationale of using this f words.

Call ECFMG and ask the young guy to transfer your call to his supervisor (the elder guy). he seems to know pretty well. I talked with him and he said to me that my medical credentials were rejected during the review process that they do before issuing certificate. I wasted 4 weeks before doing this and the young guy kept on telling me the same things for those 4 weeks. I think you should try to talk with supervisor. (My issue is resolved now. the supervisor helped me a lot.)

You gotta understand they are busy these days...it's funny though, my creds were verified on August 21st, my certificate was issued on August 30th, and sent out September 2nd....guess I got lucky, but I hear a lot of people are facing delays...

Hey deja_vu,

Does ECFMG have something like a meeting to review cases before they issue the certificates? So people who get the last score usu will have their certificate issued the next Thursday (according to the most recent cases rolling eyes

).

Based on my own experience, ECFMG do have some representatives who are quite unhelpful. One time I emailed them to ask about the processing time of medical education credentials verification. It was one month after they received the response from my med sch. My status miraculously changed the next day, but I got an email back later saying that "the normal processing time is 6-8 W so you got to wait longer bla bla bla...". didn't even check my status before replying to my email. disapproval

I am so sorry to know this...
I really feel like volunteering my services to the ECFMG...
I mean... come on.... its application time.... Cant you guys work on saturday ..... just for one month a year????? mad

on the 8th of sept..... they are still scanning documents recieved on the 25th of august!!!!!!
And mine reached them on 29th according to US postal service.... but the ECFMG opened them on 2nd sept! mad

i'm in the same position as you, just waiting for them to scan....mine were received by them on the 28th....they've been scanning documents received on the 25th for 2 full days now...actually thought things would speed up cause everyone already sent their letters long back but I guess I was wrong....

I understand all of your frustrations,I am in the same position. My 3rd LOR arrived on 26th of August. I called today and over the phone the robot said that as today 9/9/08 they were scanning the docs received on 26th.
But still I don`t see anything new on ERAS.

Yes they said 26th. I now that their website says 25th. I hope that maybe tomorrow I`ll see my LOR in ADTS.
