(most widely used method of creatinine measurement is based on the Jaffe reaction)

Ketones, glucose, fructose, protein, urea and ascorbic acid react with picrate & falsely increase creatinine concentration; significant when glucose concentration is very high, as in diabetic ketoacidosis or hyperglycemic coma

Cephalosporin interfere with the alkaline picrate method --> falsely elevated

Hey, man. Did you mean Creatinine or Creatine? Sorry if I'm wrongraised eyebrow

ethylene glycol

ACE inhibitors.. a limited increase in serum creatinine levels is often seen after initiation of ACE inhibitors and should be read with caution. I cant remember how much elevation is okay.. will have to look it up..
