Hello everyone,
I took my step one exam in June and got my score awhile back....Initially I was very happy with a 203/83...I was just happy because I had passed on my first attempt after going through a lot...but now as time has gone by I am quiet sad about the score. I am really interested in a good IM residency (preferably a University program). I studied hard but not sure why I didnt score higher. My question to all of you is...is my current step 1 okay enough to get a good or decent residency in internal medicine? any help or suggentions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks to all of you.

I don't think getting people opinions regarding score will change anything regardless of wether it is bad or good. You can go over previous posts of matched peaple and check their scores. I believe the best thing you can do is to give a good impression about yourself in interviews. Good scores do not make good doctors. we all know that!

It may get you cut off for some programs' interview. But there is always Step 2 too which is even more clinical. If u do very well, that would make u an interesting candidate.
And don't forget it isn't only about 3 digit scores. USA clinical experience, LORs and Publications are also criterias
