can anyone tell, which nerve is injured here, if its deep peroneal, it will cause both loss of inversion and dorsiflexion, so, choice could be both A and D.

its A.. becoz dorsiflexion wil be totally lost as the ant compartment muscles wil b paralysed.. but for D i.e. inversion,, there will still b some movement bcoz it is caused by both tib ant and post.. so post compartment wil help in that..
n the nerve injured is common peroneal as it winds around the fibular neck..

the Q is asking about severely impaired.. did u get my point??

Inversion of the foot is 100% NOT controlled by the common peroneal nerve. It is controlled by the tibial n.

Common peroneal nerve Injury will lead to loss of dorsiflexion and eversion, not inversion

a3112, thanks and i got it, which one is severly impaired, right.

jack, thanks, i didnt think about tibial nerve, i only saw it was in fibula, so, nothing came in my mind other than fibular nerve.

thanks hitesh and killer.

so, its common peroneal, i thought it was deep peroneal. it always confuse me, because common peroneal, superficial peroneal and deep peroneal all are fibular nerve, and they are close, i cant tell which one is injured from x ray. can you, look at the pic, dont they look all too close.
