my initial guess was Bells but after reading I like stones like stones since stone formation could be ue to : 1) idiopathic hypercalciuria-50% 2)hyperuricosuria(with and without gout)-30% 3)hyperoxaluria-15% 4)low urinary citrate excretion-50% in so many word stone formation is almost multifactorial eg.--solubility, concentration and urine pH characteristics,- citrate, pyrophosphate and magnesium inhibit stone formation,- protein matrix ,uroepithelium, renal tubular epithelium.. hope thi helps..
