I would like to start with this: "Welcome to the Twilight Zone!", which translates to "Expect the Unexpected!!"

Well, what can I say??

First of all, don't worry too much about stamina, I think at least. I took 5 blocks at one shot just waiting a couple of minutes inbetween sitting on my station, then some fifteen minutes to eat because I was hungry by then, so I had a sandwich some red bull and a chocolate. After that I did two more blocks, went to the bathroom while I listened to Korn, which was not a bad idea, and then finished the exam. I think the daily UW for more than 2 weeks gives you the endurance needed.

Second thing that comes to my mind: I was finishing unused 46 q's with some 8-10 min left, and when started repeating q's even 15 min left. Not like that on the real exam, time in each block IS a concern. I think it derives from two factors: A) You overanalize and read a little more slowly and B) Answers are not always that clear, so you spend more time thinking what you will answer during the exam. While doing UW I clearly knew this is something I knew or not, and chose an answer, I couldn't do that as easily during the exam... don't know why... maybe the subconscious (or conscious) knowledge that you are taking THE REAL EXAM!!

As I said before, the answer options on the exam were, to me, a lot more vague than they were on UW. I must say, I found many questions to which I was sure of the answer, but to the rest... I don''t know what I answered... and sometimes, I even felt I didn't understand the answer options, even while I knew what disease the patient had and treatment and so on.

I think there is no clear way to solving this problem while studying, I think many of the things asked are not on the Kaplan Notes or the UW bank. They are simply a test of not your knowlege, but what you can extend from it by thinking... seems a little unfair with some 80 seconds for each question, but I guess that's the way it is.

Every patient I remember is either 67 or 72 (of course the IM ones), and filled with illnesses and prescriptions that just take time away from you and don't give you essential info.

In the last three blocks I felt like they were repeating questions in different patients, maybe they were testing "my retest reliability"!!

As I said: I took my best shot at the Dragon, it will take some 3 weeks to know who defeated whom, and by now any score, good , great or even bad, would not surprise me... but as they say: "Alea iacta est!" (The die is cast!)

Good luck to all of you still preparing!! God bless your studying and exams!
