How should I study for the Step 1? I know for step 2 It's mostly IM. What about for the Step 1?

I have the kaplan 2006-07 books. I will also have access to the Kaplan videos.

What I really want/need is a break down of which subjects to study and from which book, thanks. Also which topic should I concentrate more on?

Kaplan notes.... study evrything..... and I mean.... EVERYTHING
the exam covers each subject... each topic...
study neuroanatomy... biochemistry, immunology.... everything
Then do the kaplan Q book... read and re read atleast 10 times the FIRST AID...
then do the USMLE WORLD Q bank in a timed, mixed Q mode...
Then take the NBME assessment test atleast 15 days before the scheduled exam... and if you score enough to pass that day... your all set to take the exam.
All the best.
Any more q.... you can PM me...nod

hi there
i wud suggest doing goljan instead of kaplan cz it really helps n u get 3 dimentional concepts-listen to kaplan video if u ghav them n luk at the slide-also doing micro from MRS will help u memorize-as u study add noted to FA-so wen u do FA in the end it wont b unfamiliar-well all of it depends on u -concentrate on patho alot n study the biochem pathways, physio n pharma b4 patho that will help u alot n give a reading system wise wen doing patho so u revise alot n that help in visual memory too-i do that -best of luck n pray 4 me too-nod
