I have a question regarding automatic tramsmission of USMLE transcript.If i opt for manual tranmission does it take more time? is there any harm in selecting NO for automatic transmission. I am taking step 3 soon but want to be on the safe side by manual transmission.

i called ecfmg with this exact question and the person told me it does not take more time.....All you have to do is click a button and thats all.....he said it takes the same time as automatic,....the only difference is you have to goto my eras and just resend it...

it doesn't take more time as long as you manually do it as soon as your result comes...it's probably a good idea to keep it on manual transmission for the reason you gave....
