why it's not just ASD? since in ASD there can be depression and the woman's presentation here is no more than minor depression that can be related to ASD. in real depression there can be appetite loss and more. vyseerx, what's the answer?

From all the answers I think D. is the answer. But someone made a very valid point....shouldn't it be adjustment disorder??

E is the most appropiate answer for this case. The essential feature of an Adjustment Disorder is the development of clinically significant emotional or behavioral symptoms in response to an identifiable psychological stressor or stressors (eg. retirement). The symptoms must develop within 3 months after the onset of the stressors . . . and must resolve within 6 months of the termination of the stressor. It may be, of course.....  <:flag:>

ITS NIETHER OF THE LAST 2 CHOICES CZ ACUTE STRESS DISORDER IS SIMILAR TO PTSD but lasts 1 month and PTSD lasts more than 1 month...pt has no dreams n flash backs... its only adjustment disorder czo nly tht happens with mood changes and changes in sleep n apetite...so as far as iam concerned the answer is not in tha choices or my concept is totally wrong
