I thik the best prognosis shoul be of the type RESIDUAL Otherwise as you know
there is no known cure for schizophrenia. Prognosis depends on the severity of the symptoms and on how the patient responds to treatment.

paranoia is the best ; reason being the patient still has their cognitive function and affect are still preserved
worst prognosis is the disorganized
and catatonic - is the one with waxy flexibility, and immbility or may be mutism ; various things.
and residual is - like in past symptoms were present but no longer present any more.

Paranoid has the best prognosis .... lacks negative symptoms, lacks disorganized speech, moderate self care and can function over time
