I took step2 early this year and now i am preparing for step1. i think its an individual choice. many ppl will tell you to go in order (step1 first) and maybe they r right in their own sense.the only thing is that u can take step2 CK first, then u have take step1 and then step2 CS. So to take CS, u have to take step1 first.

Hi Well put by dxtxpx. Individual choice. If you have an option, think what you know best. If you think you know more clinical Medicine now, take Step 2 before you forget some stuff. good luck lf

yes i know someone who did exactly that (first took step1, failed, took step2 passed and went back to step1 passed and then did CS) and she is about to start her residency this july. But again it depends on individual effort and potential.
