someone please answer!!though it seems no one knows much about pathology res.i had 91 in step 1,not yet done step 2 and wondering the same questions. richa or younani or anyone who knows,do you think there are good career prospects after a path residency especially for an img??

I'm not sure about the reasonable part.I was checking up different university/hospital sites.Its very competitive to get apthology.....the main reason baing their openings are small each year(unlike other fields like FP,IM,Paeds,EM etc...).....for example if you look at the University of Washington's website they write for just 4-5posts they receive more than 300applications and they interview 40-50 people for the 4-5posts!!Looking at the statictics it seems competitive don;t you think so??But I do agree iF777 that research expereince is a plus point(but then its a plus point for almost every other programme too!)
