Hi... I have a problem... Which is better.... Staying back in the US and applying for an extension of B1 visa status or Going back to home country and coming back in 15 days... Luckless me, I have an observership for 3 months, and I can't even complete that because I was given only a 3 months stay. Worse than not getting observership, considering the costs involved. Help please. I need to make a decision soon.

Same opinion as zion . Extension would likley take 2 to 3 months . By that time , your permit will likely be expired and you will be in trouble if you stay and finally haven t granted the extension . I was in the same situation like you , my advice is to go , come back and just tell the truth . They will understand that . You are not the first buddy Good luck !
