Hey everyone. I have finally decided to start my journal to keep me in check. Hope everyone is studying well. I will use this as a way to report my daily work and will try my best to follow whatever I have scheduled for that day.
GOAL: >>>>>>260=====RADIOLOGY
EXAM DATE: OCT 16TH
Will finish up few things I have left from 1st read and than start review from aug 28th and hope to finish second read by Sept28th. Will also try to finish up UW questions during this time and also read through explanations one more time within this time frame as well.
Then, from sept 29-oct7th---Kaplan Qbank 250Qs/day along with first aid
Oct8th--NBME FORM 2 (BEST PREDICTOR ACCORDING TO MANY PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM)
Oct9th-Oct14th-----FIRST AID AGAIN and few other notes
Oct15h-OFF
Oct16th---EXAM
Lets all work hard to reach our goals and fight for every question. We should always be aiming to get 100% rather than settle with 70 or 80%. Will need to fight hard for every single point in order to get this done.
Today's Schedule:
1. Read through Parasitology and Microbial Genetics from KAPLAN
2. Do 2 Goljan Audios. (Day 4. AUDIO #5 N 6)
3. Read through MICROBIOLOGY section in first aid 2008 about 55pgs
4. Do Chapter 1 from Robbins Pathology Question Book.
With that said, I will pray to god to give us all enough strength to be determined, consistent and hard working to reach our goals......99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE.....wish you all the best!!!!!

Ok. So to recap what I did yesterday:
1. Finished 2 goljan audio lecs as planned.
2. Finished parasite and microbial genetics in kaplan......it was so damn boring and took me forever to understand it.....ahhhhhhhhhhhh
3. Actually did chapters 1-4 in robbins qbook lol......and avg about 80-85 cumulative....still away from 100 but not bad i guess....altho the ques were quite easy...but i've heard systemic section is much tougher so lets see how those are later on....
4. Wasn't able to finish first aid since my cuzs came over for dinner.....and ended up playing ping pong and basketball man I feel like I am too old.....only 21 rite now and my playing days seem to be over already.....this sucks......
Alrite. So goal for today:
1. Finish up first aid micro section
2. Do 2 goljan audios (day 4 # 7 n 8)
3. Chapter 5 Robbins Qbook Pathology
4. Do AMQAP (As many Questions As possible) from UW Micro section.
5. Read MMRS for microbial genetics (as simon adviced).
Alrite people will update my progress again tomorrow......goodluck to all today....lets do this!!!! just keep working hard without thinking about the score and hard work shall pay off.....it always does.....just keep praying studyin eating and sleeping and 99 will be yours!!!!!!best of luck to everyone today!!!!!!!

@ Simon------thanks.....hope it works out.....i did read mmrs as u adviced.....was def helpful but i felt as if it was lacking info compared to all the garbage that kaplan has....
@Karime-----yes ur right abt exercise.......i do it for 30mins everyday....just dont post it haha
@GG-----thanks yea i duno how im gonna remember those parasites....mayb a day b4 exam ill cram it? haha gl wit ur studying
Update: Finished the goals for yesterday........got 80% in chapter 5(genetics) robbins book....was surprised since i hate genetics with passion.....but did ok i guess...need to desperately get over the hump of gettin 80 every time.....MUST FOCUS
Will continue on today with the following:
1. chapter 6 robbins Q book
2. goljan audios day 5 # 1 n 2
3. AMQAP from UW
Will officially start 2nd read from tomorrow.....with one of my favorites.....ANATOMY!!!!!

hi usmlekiller,
You are right. I read kaplan first and got nothing out of that chapter. Once you have read mmrs, which breaks the chapter down to simple terms, it will be somewhat easier to understand when you go back to kaplan.
All the best with your 2nd read. Keep it going.

hI!! good luck on u r 2nd read. i've trying to start mine for ever but seem to tying up loose ends all the time. So beside robbins q'book r u doing anyother q's.. Anyways GL.

@ Simon-----yea you are right....it def made it easier to understand......hope that chapter isnt that important besides drug resistance mechanisms.......which are relatively easy if u kno the moa of the drug
@mjbapana-------thanks and yea i do UW as well whenever i get a chance to do so.....and than will do kaplan qbank later on as planned according to my 1st post.....gl with ur 2nd read!!!!lets do this
Finished yesterday's goals.....Only score 75% on chap 6 (immunology in robbins qbook)....some questions seemed extremely hard.......but hope to do better from now on.....
For today:
1. Goljan Audio (day 5 # 3 n 4)
2. Chapter 7 (neoplasia) robbins qbook
3. 90pgs High Yield Gross Anatomy
